Ulster Honey Shows Each year some local Associations hold Honey Shows where a wide range of hive products are put on display . Competition is friendly but serious, however advice will be freely given. Some Shows are restricted to Members only, others are open to everyone. Details are as follows:- Dromore and District Beekeepers' Association - host an annual open show early each Autumn - "the biggest in Northern Ireland". Mid-Antrim Beekeepers' Association - host an annual open show each September, in Cullybackey, Ballymena. Roe Valley Beekeepers' Association - host an annual open show in the Raddison Roe Hotel, Limavady, generally in early October. Belfast Beekeepers' Association - in conjunction with Belfast City Council, host The Northern Ireland National Honey Show, held in Botanic Gardens, Belfast in September each year .Exhibit welcome from all. Mid-Ulster Beekeepers' Association hold an annual Show restricted to their members only. North Monaghan Beekeepers' Association hold an annual show which is restricted to their members only - although not affiliated with UBKA, we include them here as they draw their members from both sides of the border and often meet in Middletown, Co Armagh. Others In addition to the above, there are several other Honey Shows throughout Ireland namely:- The Irish National Honey Show, held at Gormanstown in July in conjunction with the Federation of Irish Beekeepers Annual Conference.
