Dear Friends and Members,
As we continue our meetings remember : -
The aims of the BDBKA Association are to:
- Provide Association Members with an alternative site for colonies;
- Allow potential Beekeepers to learn about the craft;
- Provide an opportunity for new Beekeepers to practice their
- Manipulation skills and improve their knowledge of Bee-keeping;
- Provide a supervised educational resource for interested parties;
- Provide increase of stock to be made available to Association Membership;
- Allow monitoring of a number of colonies for disease, especially varoasis;
- To encourage more people of all ages to be come involved in Bee-Keeping.
 It was good to see so many out last month. Again we hope for beginners you found the last meeting useful. We will delighted to see you back this month I trust you one again find the meeting informative. As always if too much jargon is in use ask for clarification!
This month we will meet in the Queen’s Leisure Centre Holywood on the 10th at 7.30.

Yours truly will give a talk to beginners on hives and hive parts. This will be a practical session to enable those of you who have not seen the various components of a modern beehive do so without the bees getting in the way!
Our Chairperson - Mrs. Esther Ross will give the technical talk on the
circulatory system of the honeybee.
Don’t forget that next month we will be holding our Christmas Quiz on Monday the 8th of December in the Queens` Leisure Centre
