ACETIC ACID

Acetic Acid can be purchased for the purposes of sterilizing beehives and combs contaminated with Nosema spores

The availability of the concentrated acid is difficult as very few chemists are willing to supply or stock this material .

Acetic acid is available now from Belfast and District beekeepers Associaton as a ready to use preparation. The beekeeper does not need to calculate the dilution of the acid to give an 80% solution, this has already been done for you.
